WHO IS THE GIVING GROUP?
The Giving Group is a non-profit, volunteer-based organization that allows us to accept donations through The Giving Group PA website and send our donation to the selected non-profit in one lump sum.
A few benefits of our partnership with The Giving Group:
- You will not receive promotional/marketing materials to the non-profits we donate to.
- You will receive only one tax donation per year (rather than four).
- The subscription options make budgeting and scheduling your donations very easy and manageable.
How do I sign up?
Signing up is simple. Click How To Join on at the top of the page. It will walk you through the sign in process and give you options to add an automatic payment.
Why is there a 3% fee?
The 3% fee is divided between credit card processing costs (2.2%) and legal and administrative fees for The Giving Group (0.8%).
What if I need to “Opt-Out” For a Quarter?
We completely understand and this is not a problem at all! Simply email us at optout@givinggroupa.com and we will pause any payments for that quarter.
Can I leave the group once I’ve joined?
We would be sad to see you go but please email optout@givinggroupa.com and we will remove you from the list and any future automated payments.
Who does the tax form come from?
The tax form will be a letter from The Giving Group at the end of the year, indicating the total amount that you have donated for the given year. We will include the 501c3 information for your taxes.
What will show up on my credit card statement?
You will see a charge from The Giving Group for the amount that we indicated when you signed up.
Will my information be shared with the nonprofits?
No, we will not send any personal information to the non-profits about who has donated. If you would like to be recognized by the non-profit and be added to their mailing list, please contact the non-profit and give them your information and how much you donated through The Giving Group PA.
